Prayer Point for the Week – Let us pray that our burden to reach lost people in Norwich and all over the world would increase.
Questions for Reflection
Jesus gained the reputation of being “a friend of publicans and sinners.” Why did they say that? What does that teach us about the outreach ministry of the church/believer? Do we follow His example? If not, how should we?
In Matthew 25, Jesus tells us the importance of reaching out to the needy and afflicted. How should the church’s outreach to the needy differ from other relief organizations? Is it possible to neglect the Gospel when ministering to the needy and afflicted?
In addition to “event evangelism”, it is important for the church to practice personal evangelism? Whose responsibility does that fall upon in the church? What different elements make up an effective witness for Christ?
One of the last things Jesus told His disciples was the importance of reaching the whole world with the Gospel. How is it possible for a church to reach both it’s community and the farthest regions of the world with the Gospel? Why do some churches focus on themselves and their own communities? What is the promise of Christ to those who fulfill that mission?
What does Mark 13:10 tell us must happen before the return of the lord Jesus Christ? According to Romans 10:14 &15, why is this important to Jesus and critical to the nations? Where should the church’s priority be in world evangelism?
