Well, I guess it was inevitable. Â I had this site up since 2004 in one form or another (and I host a couple other sites on the same server as well)…and up till now the bad internet people have left me alone. Â Well, there was once a few years ago when a hacker left me a message on a page, but other than that I have been pretty lucky I guess.
Today I was updating a help-desk site that I also work on, and reloaded the page to a “Your account has been suspended due to violation of terms of service” instead of the happy site I expected (and had been working on for a few hours). Â A few phone calls to the support staff, a few file deletions and general cleaning up, and we are back cooking with gas! Â Sorry if anyone noticed the down-time (I did take a dinner break while it was down).
