Prayer Point for the Week – Let us pray for a good turnout tomorrow and that many would come to know Jesus through the many efforts of local churches to reach people this weekend.
Questions for Reflection:
According to James 2:17, what is the only tangible evidence that a person is truly a man/woman of faith? How did Abraham demonstrate his faith? How do you show your faith in your daily life? What areas of faith do you have without any evidence? What changes can you make to rectify this?
According to Luke 17:5&6, what should happen tour faith over the course of our lives? What are some of the things that scripture teaches us that we can do to help our faith grow? How often do you incorporate these things into your daily life?
Although Abraham was a mighty man of faith, there were times that his faith failed. Can anything good come from failure? Think of a time that you failed? Did you learn from your mistakes? How did that help you to grow and change? How does this process of growth and failure relate to your spiritual life?
In Genesis chapter 12, Abraham left the Land of Promise to go to Egypt. How was this a failure in faith? Why did Abraham lose faith? What did Abraham do after God delivered him? How should we respond when we give into fear?
In 1 Corinthians 13:13, what 3 things are believers told to live in? Read Genesis 17. Did Abraham experience hope? How do you know? How does the knowledge of God’s promises give us hope?
