Prayer Point for the Week – Let us pray that the Lord would show us our areas of vulnerability and that He would give us strength and wisdom to deal with those areas.
Questions for Reflection
1. Beginning the process of rebuilding the Church begins with prayer but does not end with prayer. What is the next step in the rebuilding process? How does one go about rebuilding on the local level? How does one do so for the universal church?
2. In Ephesians Chapter 6, there is a list of the different elements of the Armor of God. What makes the footwear different from the other articles? How does this affect our actions and prayers as we fight the forces opposing the Kingdom?
3. One of the ways the Enemy tries to hinder us from rebuilding the Kingdom is to attempt to make us feel ashamed of Christ and His church. Have you ever struggled with being ashamed of the local/global church? What made you feel ashamed? How did you overcome those feelings?
4. The temptation to fear comes from many sources. How does fear from persecution differ from the daily fears everyone struggles with? How do we know that God understands the struggle with fear that we have? What assurances do we have that He will help us overcome our fears?
