Prayer Point for the Week – Let us seek God for more of His convicting power in our lives, church and community.
Questions for Reflection
1. Reflect upon the moment you received Christ as your Savior. How did you feel about your misdeeds? What made you bring them to Jesus and not allow yourself to be swallowed up in condemnation?
2. Conviction and condemnation are closely related and yet uniquely different. What are the similarities? What are the differences? How do we handle guilt as to not allow ourselves to fall into condemnation?
3. Is the Gospel the Gospel without the conviction of sin? How does it fall short? What are the consequences of a gospel without conviction?
4. Like the other ministries of the Holy Spirit, we have the freedom to cultivate godly sorrow. How ca we cultivate this ministry of the Spirit in our lives, church and community?
