Prayer Point for the Week – Let us pray that the light and the love of the Lord Jesus Christ shines more brightly through every aspect of our lives.
Questions for Reflection
1. A candle, no matter how small, is noticeable to all in the darkest of nights. What does this illustrate regarding our Christian witness? What dark places does the light of Jesus reach through you?
2. What are some of the properties/effects of light? What do they teach us about the ministry of Jesus in the world? Since we are called to shine as lights in scripture, are those divine qualities of light seen in your daily life?
3. When we think of witnessing for Jesus, we think of the message of the Gospel. Are their any other aspects to witnessing to Jesus? If so, what are they? Evaluate you life’s witness to the world.
4. Sharing the Gospel is likened to using salt to season food. What does that say about Gospel ministry? How do we find the right measure in our “seasoning” ministry?
