Prayer Point for the Week – Let us pray that God would give us the faith to believe Him for greater things.
Reflection Questions:
1. In 1 Corinthians 13:13, we are taught that our sacrifices are to be marked by faith, hope and love. What does that mean? Examine your acts of worship. Are they marked by those qualities?
2. An idol is a person, place or thing that takes God’s place in our lives. Christian idols are subtle. What are some? Why is it easy to substitute them for God?
3. In many ways, our love relationship with Jesus is like other love relationships in our lives. What have been some misconceptions about love that you have experienced in your earthly relationships? What have they shown you concerning your relationship with God?
4. The greatest idol we have is self. How does self disguise itself? What often happens when we worship self? What is the remedy to worshiping self?
