Prayer Point for the WeekLet us pray that many people will be receptive to the Gospel during this Resurrection Season.

Questions for Reflection:

1 Peter 4:7 tells us that praying people need to be clear minded and self controlled. Do you ever struggle with distractions while praying? What are some of the things (tie of day, place, etc.) that you can do to minimize distractions while praying? What does Philippians 4:8&9 tell us to do to bring peace to our minds?

Is it proper for a believer to weep/express sorrow? Read Psalm 56:3. What does this tell us about God’s attitude toward our tears? How should we feel about expressing sorrow in prayer? What assurance is given to those who weep before God in Luke 6:21?

Read James 5:16. What type of heart is guaranteed effective prayer? How does one achieve this type of heart? How does this type of heart increase your faith? Read John 8:12.How does spending time in prayer make it easier to conform to the image of Christ? How much time do you spend in prayerful introspection?

Psalm 107:20 tells us that deliverance comes through the Word.  How did Moses’ words deliver the Israelites from Pharaoh? How did his words (The Law) deliver the Israelites from themselves? How does the Word deliver the believer? List several ways the word of God is ministered to people. Are you in the position to receive the Word in all of these ways?
