Prayer Point for the Week – Let us pray that the Lord will use us to reach Norwich and the world with the Gospel!

 Questions for Reflection:

In Acts chapter 1, Jesus tells his disciples to wait for the Gift from the Father. How do you think they waited for this Gift? How do you know? What does this teach us about God’s timing? How important is patience in receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit? How is patience with God demonstrated in your life?

The Holy Spirit fell upon the disciples in a powerful way at the beginning of Acts 2. What events happened after the initial outpouring? How impactful was the moving of the Holy Spirit upon both the Apostles and unbelievers? What evidence is there that the power of the Holy Spirit was declining in their lives?

In Acts chapter 4 the Apostles experienced their first opposition. How did they respond to the threats of the Sanhedrin? In what ways, if any, did their boldness change? How courageous do you feel when God gives you opportunities to share? How do you feel when you experience opposition for your faith?

After the Apostles were released they reported everything that happened to them with the rest of the church. Have you ever kept a trial or difficulty to yourself to spare others worry? What other reasons are there to keep one’s struggles to oneself? Why is that not wise or scriptural?

After demonstrating the power of God through their words and deeds, the Apostles thought it was necessary to pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Why do you think they felt that way? What did they pray for? How did God answer in the events that followed?
