Prayer Point for the Week As we think about Bethlehem this Christmas season, let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).

Questions for Reflection:

It is important to prayerfully look at current events to see if they relate to Bible prophecy. What reason does Matthew 24:44 give us? Luke 21:28? Revelation 21:5?

Romans 11:25-27 tells us that Israel will someday be saved. What assurance does that give concerning Israel’s future in these uncertain times? What should be our expectation regarding prophecies concerning Israel which are yet unfulfilled?

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 28 that the Jews will always be persecuted. Is there evidence that this hatred exists today? How is God using this persecution for both the good of the Jews and the fulfillment of prophecy?

In Daniel, chapter 7, Daniel receives a vision of 4 beasts which symbolize 4 great kingdoms. Later in the chapter, Daniel is told that the 4th kingdom, Rome, will wage war against God’s people before being destroyed forever. What region of the world makes up the former Roman empire? How does the vision in Daniel 2 and 10 relate to this region?

What do the 10 horns symbolize in Daniel 7 and Revelation 12? How does this relate to the current situation in Europe? What additional information do the 10 toes in Daniel 2 give us about the dysfunctional nature of the present day Roman Empire?

The Bible foretells that before Christ’s return, an evil ruler and his kingdom will wage war against the people of God. Read Revelation 13:15-17. What tactic will the ruler use against the saints? Read Revelation 13:7. How successful will he be?
