Prayer Point for the WeekLet us pray that God would give us opportunity and favor and sharing the Gospel.

Questions for Reflection

1. Although humility is essential in seeking and walking in the will of God, believers do not always feel humble. James 4:10 teaches us that we can humble ourselves. How does one go about humble themselves?

2. It is often not too difficult to grieve and confess one’s own sins. It is much more difficult to identify with another person’s sin. What does Galatians 6:2 teach us about our relationship with others’ sins? How do we go about fulfilling the law of Christ?

3. The promises of God are a great source of hope to the believer. Are the promises of God temporary or eternal? How does the act of repentance reinforce our faith in the promises of God?

4. In the conclusion of Nehemiah’s prayer in chapter 1, Nehemiah asks for favor? Whose favor does he seek? Why is God’s favor necessary? What about the favor of man?
