Prayer Point for the WeekLet us pray that our society would recognize and praise God for who He is and for all that He has done.

Questions for Reflection

1. In Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus teaches us to ask the Father for our daily bread. Later He tells us not to seek food, shelter and clothing because the Father knows we need those things. How do we reconcile these seemingly contradictory scriptures?

2. Forgiveness is a major part of the redemptive work of Christ in our lives. What ate the 3 aspects of forgiveness necessary in the life of the believer? How are they lived out in our lives?

3. What is our natural response when we have been caught in sin? What do we need to understand about God’s nature to overcome our natural inclinations? How is that lived out in our prayer lives?

4. The Lord’s Prayer teaches us to pray for God’s kingdom and will to be done on earth “as it is in heaven.” In addition to our society and the church, does this command relate to us on a personal level? If so, how?
